wartime letters of a young couple
Frances Zagni, local musician and author, presents extraordinary correspondence between Ursula, her mother and John, her father, a Bomber Command navigator and prisoner-of-war. Frances has archived over 600 letters and postcards that they wrote to each other, editing them into a recently published illustrated compilation. The book, Gepruft, provides a unique and personal insight into how two people struggled to find solace and keep their hopes and love alive during the five years between 1940 and 1945.
Gepruft is published by Fighting High Publishing.
